Amazon has solidified its growing presence in California’s High Desert region with the purchase of approximately 195 acres in Hesperia for $161.9 million. The acquisition includes entitlements for a state-of-the-art warehouse spanning 2.5 million square feet.
The planned warehouse is strategically located on the north side of Phelan Road, just west of Highway 395, further cementing Amazon’s footprint in the Victor Valley region. This new facility will complement the company’s two existing operational facilities in the area, highlighting Amazon’s long-term investment and expansion in Hesperia.
The seller of the property was Covington Group, and the site has already been cleared to kickstart development. With construction underway, the warehouse is expected to enhance Amazon’s logistics and distribution capabilities, aligning with the company’s strategy of optimizing supply chain efficiency across California and beyond.
This development is a testament to Hesperia’s growing appeal as a hub for logistics and industrial investments, with Amazon’s continued expansion bringing potential economic benefits and job opportunities to the region.
